Public private partnership advice for Waverly Borough Council

Cluttons advised Waverley Borough Council on the selection of a developer to master plan and regenerate the East Street Regeneration Area abutting Farnham Town Centre.

Following the marketing of the joint venture opportuity, a developer (Crest Nicholson in joint venture with Sainsbury) was selected. Subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents, it is anticipated the scheme will comprise approximately 300,000 sq ft of residential, office, retail and leisure uses.

While much of the site was owned by the council and the developer, the remainder was in fragmented ownership. Cluttons undertook a site assembly programme to facilitate the regeneration programme.

A planning application has been submitted.

The gross development value is circa £110m.
