OVERVIEW

Regent’s Park is a prestigious residential area directly surrounding and to the east of the royal park of the same name. Regent’s Park is one of London’s most desirable areas, being within easy distance of the rest of Central London and surrounded by many of London’s major attractions. Sandwiched between Camden, Kings Cross and Fitzrovia, Regent’s Park is the ideal base to explore many of London’s unique cultural offerings. 

HOUSES IN REGENT'S PARK 

Houses in Regent’s Park are some of the most desirable in the residential market. In the historic crescents directly bordering Regent’s Park, in the area known as the Outer Circle, lines of terrace mansions with stucco pillars can be found. These historic mansions are extremely grand and very large, providing a type of accommodation that is unique to this area.

To the east of Regent’s Park, slightly outside the inner circle, there are many reasonably sized family homes and smaller flats. Regency style terraces are popular in the area.

Sitting squarely in north-west London, the residential area of Regent’s Park benefits from stunning architecture, open green space, and a wealth of transport links close-by, all whilst being within walking distance of more central areas of London.

The prestigious terraces, such as Cornwall Terrace, York Terrace and Chester Terrace were built in the 1800s and add an enormous sense of grandeur to the area, whilst the historic facades of John Nash’s Park Crescent have been preserved throughout the ages.

Regent’s Park is an area steeped in history, whilst being equally as lively in the present. The park itself is home to a number of events throughout the year, including the Taste of London, Frieze Art Fair and Regent’s Park Open Air theatre. Regent’s Park is also home to London Zoo, which holds its own events during the busy seasons.

Many local attractions, such as Madame Tussauds and Camden Market sit at the edge of the area and are easily accessibly through a number of routes. Moreover, with Baker Street, Regent’s Park, and Great Portland Street tube stations all on the southern edge of the park, there is no shortage of transport routes available into more central areas of London and the City.

The large houses in Regent’s Park make it a popular area for families, and the apartments in converted town houses are perfect for young professionals. Regent’s Park is also extremely popular with students, and this is no surprise given that the area is home to a number of universities and schools. Regent’s University London has its main campus in the Inner Circle of the park itself and is part of the Independent Universities Group. London Business School is located in the outer circle and provides graduate degrees, including MBAs. The Royal College of Physicians is also located in the Outer Circle, towards the South East of the park.

TRANSPORT 

  • Tube: Regent’s Park is well connected to the rest of London, with its own tube station on the Bakerloo Line. Baker Street and Great Portland Street, both on the Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Circle Lines, boarder the park itself and are within walking distance of the south of the area. Mornington Crescent, on the Northern Line, is to the North East of Regent’s Park, whilst Camden Town, also on the Northern Line, is close by.
  • Rail: Regent’s Park is within close proximity of London Euston and King’s Cross, two of London’s most important mainline stations to the North of England
  • Bus: Routes 18, 27, 30, 88, 205, 453, C2 and night buses N18 and N205
  • Road: Albany Street, Outer Circle, Hampstead Road, Marylebone Road, Camden High Street, Regent’s Park Road
  • Airport: Heathrow Express from nearby Paddington. Gatwick Express runs from Victoria Station, which can be reached via the tube from Baker Street Station

PARKS 

Regent’s Park is one of London’s Royal Parks and features almost 400 acres of green space, including a rose garden with more than hundreds of varieties of the flower. London Zoo is also within the park and Primrose hill is only a short distance away.
