Cluttons appoints non-executive chairman of investment & fund management business
Cluttons has appointed Simon Latham as non-executive chairman of its investment and fund management business.
Latham, CEO of Brook Investment Partners, joins Cluttons with an exceptional pedigree built up over 30 years in the financial markets, having been a Managing Director at ING Real Estate Investment Management (REIM). During his time at ING REIM, Latham was responsible for over £3.5bn of assets and headed both the Value Add Investment and the Unlisted Pooled Funds divisions.
Having spent seven years at Cluttons from the mid-eighties Latham knows the company well. He joins with a clear vision to grow its investment and fund management business that already has over £500m of assets under management.
Simon Latham said, “We have some great mandates for clients we have served incredibly well over many years, but I have always felt that the company has never truly fulfilled its potential as an investment and fund manager. Now is a very exciting time for the Cluttons, we have great platform, a market leading business in the Middle East and a real opportunity to grow.
“I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to advising our clients on their investment and fund strategies, enhancing their portfolios and driving strong returns.”
Steve Morgan, senior partner at Cluttons, said, “Investment and fund management is a key part of our asset management division which is at the core of what we do. Bringing someone of Simon’s calibre into our already successful investment and fund management business is a clear signal of our intent. We will be building on this part of our offer and making further strategic recruitments to support its growth.”
Latham will work alongside the Cluttons’ head of fund management, Jamie McCombe, and head of investment, Giles Worrall, both of whom have more than 20 years’ experience in fund management and investment agency respectively.
