Maida Vale is a popular residential neighbourhood in north west London that lies within easy reach of the city centre. Situated between Paddington, St John’s Wood and Kilburn, Maida Vale is served by its own tube station, on the Bakerloo line. One of the most distinctive parts of Maida Vale is Little Venice, the name given to a picturesque area surrounding the Grand Union Canal and the Regent’s Canal. Impressive red-bricked mansions and terraces can be found lining the canals, as well as the tree-lined avenues in the surrounding area.

Houses in Maida Vale come in a number of different forms, often with grand facades and period features. The area surrounding Little Venice is famous not only for its charming canal side ‘cottages’, but also for its majestic ‘villa’ style housing, with white porticos. Roads such as Maida Avenue and Bloomfield Road are lined with large Regency style houses, whilst many houses in Maida Vale are also built in the Georgian style, along impressive terraces. Houses in Maida Vale are often large and suitable for families.  Popular roads include Randolph Crescent, Maida Avenue, Bloomfield Road, Warrington Crescent and Elgin Avenue.
