GUIDE TO HOUSES IN ROTHERHITHE
Rotherhithe is located on a small peninsula on the south bank of the River Thames, to the west of Tower Bridge and opposite the Isle of Dogs. The area was home to many shipyards from Elizabethan times up until the 1970s. An extensive area regeneration took place from the 1980s with the redevelopment of warehouses into a charming residential district. Connection to the Jubilee line and the London Overground has contributed significantly to the area’s emergence as one of the most popular residential areas.
