GUIDE TO HOUSES IN ROTHERHITHE

OVERVIEW

Rotherhithe is located on a small peninsula on the south bank of the River Thames, to the west of Tower Bridge and opposite the Isle of Dogs. The area was home to many shipyards from Elizabethan times up until the 1970s. An extensive area regeneration took place from the 1980s with the redevelopment of warehouses into a charming residential district. Connection to the Jubilee line and the London Overground has contributed significantly to the area’s emergence as one of the most popular residential areas.

HOUSES IN ROTHERHITHE

Houses in Rotherhithe are terraced period townhouses overlooking the river as well as newly built properties. Period townhouses are of a distinctive white colour and situated on the Rotherhithe street. Such properties spread over three to four floors and benefit from patios and gardens. Homes in Rotherhithe are known for offering beautiful river views and being located on historic cobbled streets.
