Our Business Partners work in true partnership with the business units with the support of the HR team. The role

The HR Business Partner role is a broad generalist role encompassing day-to-day HR and more ad-hoc project work. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and varied role where you will need to be able to build relationships with employees and managers across the whole business. There may be occasional travel required to other other offices within the UK. The HR Business Partner will be supporting circa 100 employees.

Key Deliverables

  • HR Business Partner supporting the HR Director and second HRBP in the delivery of the People Strategy
  • Trusted Partner to relevant divisions, working proactively with the Management team to achieve business unit plans
  • Resourcing: Driving the acquisition of talent into the business in partnership with the Management team, working with the team heads to implement the structure that provides the correct leverage for our growth plans.
  • talent management and succession planning: creating tools for identifying talent and working with the teams to ensure that the full picture of career plans are clearly understood and managed
  • Building Capabilities: using tools to help the business units to Identify strategic capability gaps, as well as short term capability issues and ensuring initiatives are in place to address feedback
  • Operational Excellence: Managing, coaching and delivering the key people processes. Including coaching and guiding managers and employees
  • Management reporting, presenting analysis and recommendations to the Management team re trends and concerns
  • Deliver learning through identified and appropriate methodology and in line with the Learning & Development strategy
  • Represent HR at business unit board meetings
  • taking a lead in one of the following: championing D&I initiatives; embedding values; competency framework development; apprenticeship strategy development;

Responsibilities

Financials

  • Has a full understanding of current and forecasted headcount.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budget

Clients

  • Manages existing client/supplier relationships on a day to day basis
  • Works independently on areas of work under regular management monitoring
  • Enhances the reputation of Cluttons through successful delivery
  • Builds own network within Cluttons and externally

People

  • Supervises junior employees or co-ordinates colleagues and others on specific projects
  • Shares knowledge with / provides information to colleagues and team
  • Mentors other junior colleagues
  • Responsible for managing annual processes and procedures
  • Can develop and further identify improvements to business processes within own function
  • Is a contributor to Cluttons business wide projects

Requirements

Person specification

  • Experience working within Real Estate background would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of D&I, employment, ER, compensation and salary and the laws that govern these areas
  • Client centric, takes a true business partner approach
  • Creative problem-solving skills, ability to manage complex change issues
  • Demonstrated ability to develop proven HR programs that align to business strategies
  • A strong business sense
  • A strong team player and ability to see big picture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority
  • Proven track record in leading and managing change programmes
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Essential qualifications

  • CIPD Qualified
  • Educated to degree level
