Requirements

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be joining a growing business to drive forward its research offering. As

Head of Research & Insight you will be developing a research programme, devising and delivering

thought leadership, establishing new proprietary datasets and building Cluttons’ credibility with clients,

prospects and the wider industry. You will also be ambitious about becoming a leading voice in UK

property related research.


KEY DELIVERABLES

▪ Devising and delivering a commercial residential research programme

▪ Producing thought leadership reports, articles, and blogs

▪ Giving presentations on Cluttons chosen markets to clients and prospects

▪ Overseeing the delivery of regular data-led outputs including quarterly forecasts and reports

▪ Overseeing the improvement of existing proprietary datasets and creation of new datasets

Head of Residential Insight & Research


RESPONSIBILITIES

People / Relationships

▪ Generate ideas for new research outputs via collaboration with colleagues, external organisations and the wider industry

▪ Develop strong relationships with clients and prospects, becoming the go-to for any queries on research data and insight

▪ Build relationships with Cluttons commercial and residential market facing teams to gather market intelligence and engage them in using research to develop stronger client relationships

▪ Create strong working relationships with research partners/external consultancies commissioned to undertake research projects

Clients and business development

▪ Present research to colleagues, clients, and prospects on a regular basis

▪ Create content for blogs, webinars, and other marketing collateral

▪ Work with PR & marketing to become a go to name for insight on Clutons chosen commercial and residential markets

Financial / contracts

▪ Manage the Research & Insight Budget, devising a costed research programme that can be put to the Board for approval and then delivered each year

▪ Oversee contracts and agreements with relevant suppliers and consultants ensuring services are delivered as expected

▪ Develop business cases for new suppliers/consultants/team members as and when necessary

Systems and process / workstreams

▪ Manage existing quarterly deliverables (i.e. quarterly reports, indexes, and forecasts) to ensure they are efficient, timely and completed to the highest possible standard

▪ Create research briefs and appoint and manage external organisations and freelancers when they are commissioned to carry out research

▪ Conduct research when it’s done in house via desktop research, literature reviews, interviews, data collection and analysis

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential qualifications

▪ Educated to degree standard in an applicable discipline

Essential experience

▪ A demonstrable track record of delivering relevant commercial and/or residential research

▪ Experience in leading and getting the best out of project teams

▪ Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders

▪ Ability to manage client relationships and work to deadlines

▪ Good analytical judgement, proven ability to critically analyse data and draw conclusions

▪ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

▪ Excellent presenter and public speaker
