Description

The role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate HR Advisor to join our small but dynamic HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career in a hands-on, collaboative environment. In this role, you’ll support the full employee lifecycle and play a key part in enhancing the employee experience across the business.

This role is based in either our London or Manchester office and on a part-time basis of 3 days a week.

Our team

Working alongside our Head of HR, Talent Acquisition Partner, HR Business Partner and HR Operations Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering a first-class people experience across the business. Collaboration is at the heart of our culture, and we believe that every idea matters — no matter your role or level of experience. If you want to join a team that values trust, creativity, and continuous learning, this is the place for you.

Responsibilities

As HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide comprehensive support across all HR processes, taking ownership of preparing contracts, offer letters, and employment-related documentation
  • Conducting pre-employment checks, including references, right to work verifications, and background screening
  • Support and guide managers on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance concerns, ensuring consistency and fairness. In line with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date employee records across multiple systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
  • Managing the HR inbox, responding to queries promptly or escalating where necessary
  • Ensuring accurate and timely input of payroll data for monthly processing
  • Supporting cyclical HR processes (e.g., performance reviews, promotions, salary and bonus reviews), including document preparation and meeting coordination
  • Administering employee benefits and supporting employees with benefit-related queries
  • Assisting the wider HR team with ongoing projects, employee engagement initiatives, and HR-related communications
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team on benefit programs, recognition initiatives and policy updaes

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR role, ideally in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Prior experience managing ER cases with demonstratable understanding of UK employment law
  • A self-sufficient and resilient individual with strong organisational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs with confidence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong service-orientated mindset and ability to build trusted relationships
  • You’re not afraid to suggest improvements and get stuck in where needed.

The best thing about the role

You make a real difference

You’re often the first point of contact for employees, and how you communicate and support them can truly shape their perception of our business. Whether it’s helping someone navigate a policy or ensuring a smooth onboarding, your support directly contributes to employee wellbeing and satisfaction.

You learn every day

Because the role touches so many aspects of HR — recruitment, systems, benefits, employee relations, compliance — it’s an incredible learning opportunity. You develop a broad HR skillset quickly, which sets you up for future progression

You build trust and relationships

You become a go to person across the business, giving you the chance to build strong, trusted relationships at all levels. People count on you – and that trust is both empowering and rewarding
