The role

The Commercial Agency team is based in our London HQ on Cannon Street and we are looking to be bold and ambitious in our growth plans. We’re looking for a suitably dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial candidate to join our journey.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join the existing Cluttons Commercial Agency & Development team.

The current team acts for a variety of London based landlord clients, from family trusts to estates whilst the team also enjoys a wide occupier client base, ranging from manufacturing, utilities and professional services to public sector and charities.

Responsibilities

You will assist in servicing the existing teams pipeline of instructions within London and the South. Your duties will include (but will not be limited to) the following:

  • Strategic Growth: assist the current team and work with the business and other senior team members within the business to develop the commercial agency function of Cluttons.
  • Client/Stakeholder Management: serve our existing client base, liaise with clients senior stakeholders including finance directors, regional real estate leads, and assist in defining business objectives and occupancy requirements.
  • Leasing and Letting: Proactively monitor critical lease events within the firms existing client base, and initiate steps required for client decisions to complete a transaction on time.
  • Business Development: Execute and proactively suggest opportunities to improve market presence and management of internal processes.
  • Lease management: manage and monitor key lease event dates including break options, rent reviews, and lease renewals. Manage applications by occupiers under the lease, such as licences to assign, alter and underlet. Implement and develop systems to ensure applications are dealt with properly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Real estate professional with experience in the London market.
  • Experience undertaking development appraisals and using software which includes the Argus Developer Appraisal package
  • Experience in dealing with all commercial property sectors desirable but not essential.
  • Proven skills in contract review and lease negotiations
  • Self-starter with ability to generate new business and marketing opportunities and to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong approach to problem solving and ability to bring and present new ideas and potential solutions to challenges.
  • Good commercial acumen, negotiation skills and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to network and build relationships internally and externally.
  • Good knowledge of the real estate industry sector and market trends. RICS qualified desirable but not essential.
