Chris is head of lease advisory and compulsory purchase at Cluttons.
He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a RICS Registered Valuer, Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Member of the Compulsory Purchase Association.
He has extensive experience advising both landlords and tenants in respect of rent reviews, lease renewals, lease restructuring and other dispute related valuation matters across all commercial property types. His experience in providing lease advisory advice has included advising corporate, public sector and private clients across the UK. This has included acting as Expert Witness for the Houses of Parliament on two arbitration references, whilst he advised the Port of London Authority (PLA) for over 19 years across their River Thames Estate.
In respect of compulsory purchase, he has worked on major UK infrastructure projects including road, railway, town centre redevelopment schemes, and regeneration schemes, as well as working with energy and utility companies. This has included some of the most Nationally Significant projects over the last 20 years such as the London 2012 Olympics CPO, High Speed 2 (HS2) Crossrail and Thames Tideway Tunnel DCO.
Chris has experience of arbitration, independent expert, PACT, County Court, and has attended the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) on compulsory purchase disputes.
