During Victorian times, Shad Thames was one of the largest warehouse complexes in the city, storing tea, coffee and spices, among other commodities. A well-thought-out residential conversion sometime later preserved the area’s unique spirit while cementing it as one of the most popular destinations for tourists and Londoners alike.

Are there good green spaces nearby? 

Yes, Potters Fields Park is the nearest and most well-known green space. With its riverside views, it’s perfect for a quick walk or picnic in the summer. Southwark Park has a great Café and has plenty of things to do during the year if you’re looking for a family day out.  

Is it easy to get to Central London? 

Accessing central London is hassle-free from Shad Thames. Close to London Bridge station (Jubilee, Northern and rail services), it takes around 30 minutes or less by public transport, around an hour to walk, and 20 minutes to cycle.
