Transport

While the neighbourhood has the distinct feel of a quiet London village, set apart from more congested central zones, it is still within easy reach of major shopping and business areas. Maida Hill is a centre for bus transport in the area – from there, you can easily access Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and other West London locations. For further reaches, there are numerous underground and train stations nearby, including:

  • Maida Vale Tube Station 
  • Warwick Avenue 
  • Edgware Road 

Oxford Circus is only 12 minutes away on the Bakerloo line, and Paddington, a major mainline station serving the Thames Valley, southwest England, south Wales, and Heathrow Airport, is only two stops from Maida Vale tube station is close by.  With St John’s Wood and Hampstead to the north and Kensington and Notting Hill to the south, Maida Vale is well located.

Outdoor spaces

From tennis courts at Paddington Recreation Ground to wildlife at the nearby London Zoo, the area has a wide range of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Take a stroll, roll or cycle down Clifton Road from the leafy Clifton Gardens area and onto St John’s Wood Road will lead you to the world-famous Lord’s Cricket Ground, while the beautiful Queen’s Park is to the north.
