James Bratherton

James is a senior wayleave officer who acts on behalf of a wide range of clients and stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, managing wayleave agreement delivery and advising on strategic town planning enquiries. In the telecommunications industry he works with two of the largest UK mobile operators. He uses his diverse background of law enforcement, town planning and telecommunications to deliver results for his clients.

James has extensive experience negotiating compensation payments (short and long term) and uses his knowledge of updated NFU rates in relation to wayleaves and easements. He also advises on town planning enquiries in for local government, and has a detailed knowledge of the Town and Country Planning acts and other planning related legislation.

He engages with landowners advising on wayleaves, consultation, dispute resolution, and granting of rights to ensure delivery of wayleaves for numerous projects which include FFTP (Fixed fibre to the premises) and wireless mast upgrades. His experience in wayleave project management includes numerous telecommunications operators, local authorities, and legal advisors with the aim of completing wayleave negotiation in a timely manner.
